With Matt Schaub injured, it won't be T.J. Yates stepping in to fill first-team duties.
Texans coach Gary Kubiak announced that Case Keenum will get the nod against the Chiefs this Sunday. Keenum has never played in an NFL game, making it a risk for the Texans to head in this direction.
Then again, what does Houston have to lose? The offense has been embarrassed of late. And when Schaub was injured last week in a humiliating 38-13 loss to St. Louis, Yates stepped in and threw two interceptions.
Keenum is in his second NFL season after joining Houston as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2012.
