Casey wants Titans to 'keep embarrassing' Sanchez

Jurrell Casey spent one season with Mark Sanchez at the University of Southern California.

But the Sanchez he sees now with the New York Jets is apparently very different to that one, and one Casey hopes the Titans can "keep embarrassing" into mistakes Monday night.

“In college, I felt like he sat back there more comfortably, but now I feel like he's a little timid and he likes to just throw the ball up wherever,” Casey told TitanInsider.com. “I played with him one year. Being there, he was a good quarterback and he did what he had to do. And still to this day, he's doing a decent job. He's going to be a good threat out there and we've got to make sure we stop him.”

Casey knows Sanchez is in a pressure cooker as the quarterback of the Jets and facing the scrutiny of the New York media and fans. But he adds the Titans have to take advantage of that.

“It's a tough place to play out there, and if you're not ready for the job, don't do it,” Casey said. “You've got to step up to the plate, and he ain't stepped up to the plate yet. We're just going to keep embarrassing him and bringing more heat and let their fans do what they've got to do.”

Sanchez has had his share of embarrassing moments this season, including a fumble caused by running into his own lineman's rear end against New England and a three-pick performance against Arizona that caused him to be benched by Coach Rex Ryan in favor of Greg McElroy.
