D.J. World Peace will have some more time to play some gigs in coming weeks.
That’s because Green Bay Packers running back Cedric Benson, who has been moonlighting as a D.J., will remain on injured reserve for the rest of the season.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy announced today that Benson underwent foot surgery Wednesday to correct a Lisfranc issue, according to Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. That means Benson, who carried 71 times for 248 yards and one touchdown, will not be back for the playoff push as the club had hoped.
So, the Packers will rely on James Starks and Alex Green to prop up their sometimes disappearing running game down the stretch.
