Dolphins WR alleged to have head-butted his wife. Terry McCormick

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson was arrested on a domestic violence charge on Saturday night, according to a report from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Johnson, who signed with the Dolphins this year, is alleged to have head-butted his wife, Evelyn Lozada, while the two were in a vehicle.

When police arrived on the scene, Lozada was said to have lacerations on her forehead, and Johnson was arrested.

The couple was married in July.
