Receiver was released by Dolphins last month. Terry McCormick
Chad Johnson was officially charged Wednesday with domestic battery in the case involving his wife, the Associated Press reports.
The veteran wide receiver was released by the Miami Dolphins shortly after his wife, Evelyn Lozada, alleged that he headbutted her during an argument in South Florida.
Johnson, 34, was arrested and later freed on $2,500 bond. He has yet to find another NFL team to take a chance on him.
