Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey has been ruled out for the second week in a row with a sprained foot.

Bailey hasn't been practicing all week, so he won't be playing Sunday against the New York Giants.

Tony Carter will start in his place opposite Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Chris Harris, who intercepted Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco last week, will play a lot of snaps as the nickel back.

The Broncos also ruled out tight end Joel Dreessen (knee surgery).

“No setback, he’s on schedule," Broncos coach John Fox told reporters of Bailey. "He’s making great progress. He's getting closer.”
