The San Diego Chargers signed veteran NFL cornerback Nathan Vasher to a two-year contract.
National Football Post's Brad Biggs first reported the pending transaction.
Vasher, 28, has intercepted 19 career passes, including eight in 2005.
Vasher registered 15 tackles and one interception last season in 15 games.
“In Nathan Vasher, we’re adding a proven NFL player with experience in the league,” general manager A.J. Smith said in a statement. “Having played in Chicago under Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera and secondary coach Steve Wilks is an added bonus.”
Vasher is a former fourth-round pick in the 2004 NFL draft from the University of Texas.
