San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd strained his knee, the team announced.
So, Floyd apparently avoided a torn anterior cruciate ligament when he was carted off the field Monday.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder caught 56 passes for 814 yards and five touchdowns last season.
Since 2008, Floyd has 208 receptions for 3,268 yards and 21 touchdowns.
“Malcom as you all saw went down today,” Chargers coach Mike McCoy said. “He’s going to get an MRI in the next little bit here and we’ll keep you updated…You never know in those situations when guys go down like that. A lot of times guys get scared. Everybody reacts differently to it.
"I’ve never had one of those injuries so I can’t tell you what it is or what happened exactly on any injuries we’ve had this year. So it’s just one of those deals everyone reacts to it differently, and we’ll keep you guys updated.”
