CB Greg Gatson elevated from practice squad again. Terry McCormick
The San Diego Chargers have released veteran guard Reggie Wells for the second time this season.
The reason for the move is to elevate cornerback Greg Gatson from the practice squad for the second time this season, as the Chargers had released Gatson and re-signed him to the practice squad when they brought Wells back.
Gatson's presence on the 53-man roster is needed because cornerback Shareece Wright is still bothered by a foot injury.
