At least four other candidates on San Diego radar. Terry McCormick
Ron Wolf, the former Green Bay Packers general manager, who is consulting the San Diego Chargers as they strive to fill the same position, let it slip that in-house candidate Jimmy Raye has already had his interview for the position, per the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Wolf is trying to keep as much of the search as he can confidential as the Chargers go forward with trying to find a replacement for A.J. Smith, who was fired Monday. The new GM would then presumably be the one who would hire a coaching replacement for Norv Turner, who was also let go.
Other candidates per multiple reports to be on the Chargers' radar include 49ers Director of Player Personnel Tom Gamble, Colts Vice President of Football Operations Tom Telesco, Falcons Director of Player Personnel David Caldwell, and Cardinals Vice President of Player Personnel Steve Keim.
