The San Diego Chargers have modified their jerseys for the coming season.

Unfortunately, they haven't gone back to the powder blue throwbacks they wore for the first 20 years or so of their existence. There are many NFL fans (including me) who believe those are among the coolest uniforms ever donned by any NFL (or AFL) team.

The gold nameplate on the back of the jersey is a change, and it is outlined in powder blue against the navy blue background. If you want a glimpse of what the latest Chargers' jersey looks like, click here. Otherwise, just keep looking forward to the one or two times  a season the Chargers pull the throwbacks out and keep hoping they will eventually go back to them.
