Chargers place Melvin Ingram on reserve PUP

The San Diego Chargers placed outside linebacker Melvin Ingram on the reserve-physically unable to perform list with a knee injury.

Ingram will miss at least the first six weeks of the season.

Cornerback Steve Williams (pectoral and defensive tackle Byron Jerideau (shoulder) were placed on injured reserve.

With the addition of cornerback Richard Marshall, the Chargers now list 78 players on the roster. T

The roster needs to be down to 75 players by Tuesday afternoon.
