The San Diego Chargers' personnel department has stayed busy today.
The team made it official, announcing the previously reported cut of safety Kevin Ellison as well as defensive tackle Ian Scott, fullback Cory Jackson and wide receiver Jordyn Jackson.
Ellison was recently arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Besides Ellison's off-field issues, the Chargers are likely making room for signing their rookie draft class.
Scott's release is eye-opening considering he was expected to compete for a starting job.
The Chargers drafted Cam Thomas out of North Carolina in the fifth round.
