The San Diego Chargers have signed first-round cornerback Jason Verrett to a four-year contract with a club option for a fifth year.
All of the Chargers' draft picks are now under contract.
Verrett was selected 25th overall out of Texas Christian.
The 5-foot-10, 189-pounder recorded 160 career tackles, 41 pass deflections and nine interceptions.
Last seaosn, Verrett had 39 tackles, 14 passes defensed, two interceptions, one sack and one forced fumble. He was named a second-team All-America selection, first-team All-Big 12 pick, co-Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award as the top defensive back in the nation.
