Charles Woodson’s long, successful run in Green Bay has come to an end.
Via Woodson’s Twitter account for his vineyard – Twenty Four Wines – Woodson has thanked fans.
“Thank you Green Bay it was a great run!” the Twitter account read.
Woodson's agent Carl Poston told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network: "They're getting ready to release him. It's part of the business."
The 36-year-old was scheduled to make roughly $10 million this coming season, including bonuses, and that is a figure that was too high for the Packers. It will not be surprising for the versatile Woodson to get action on the open market.
