Receiver will make $9.5 million this season. Terry McCormick
Kansas City Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe has signed his $9.5 million franchise tender, the club announced on Friday.
Bowe had stayed away from camp since being given the franchise tag after no long-term extension with the club could be worked out.
Bowe caught 81 passes a year ago for the Chiefs, even though their quarterback situation was unstable with Matt Cassel being injured, Tyler Palko being ineffective and the club eventually finishing up with Kyle Orton, whom they claimed off waivers from Denver.
