Matt Cassel pronounced himself ready to start for the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's opener against the Buffalo Bills.
According to the Kansas City Star, Cassel said regarding his rib injury, "I'm good. I'm ready to roll."
Cassel suffered the injury in the preseason finale against the Green Bay Packers, and there was a report from the Star that he could miss his start against Buffalo. However, Cassel was a full participant in Monday's practice.
Chiefs coach Todd Haley, of course, was coy about the matter, wanting to keep the Bills guessing for as long as possible.
What it likely means, however, is the Tyler Palko Era may be on hold yet again.
