Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles vows to be ready by training camp, according to the Kansas  City Star.

“When they let that cape off me, I’m ready to go. I’m ready to put my cleats back on and punish everybody in my way,’’ Charles said.

No team was more ravaged by major injuries than the Chiefs a year ago, as Kansas City lost Charles, safety Eric Berry, tight end Tony Moeaki and eventually quarterback Matt Cassel to season-ending injuries.
