Kansas City Chiefs veteran tight end Tony Moeaki fractured his shoulder against the Pittsburgh Steelers, coach Andy Reid announced today.
Moeaki's timetable is unclear, but with a fractured scapula it's considered likely he'll miss half the season.
Since entering the NFL in 2010, Moeaki has undergone knee operations and sustained head injuries.
Moeaki caught 47 passes for 556 yards and three touchdowns as a rookie.
Last season, Moeaki caught 33 passes for 453 yards and a touchdown.
