Chiefs awarded Ricky Henry off waivers

The Kansas City Chiefs were awarded veteran offensive guard Ricky Henry off waivers from the New Orleans Saints.

The Chiefs waived long snapper Brad Madison.

The 6-foot-4, 310-poujnd Henry has seen action in two contests in two NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears and the Saints.

He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Bears in 2011 where he served the majority of his time on the practice squad. 

He played collegiately at the University of Nebraska where he earned first-team All-Big 12 honors.
