The Kansas City Chiefs have made a swap of defensive linemen, claiming end Austin Lane off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars, the club announced.

In order to make room on the roster, defensive tackle Dan Muir was let go by Kansas City.

Lane, a fifth-round pick of the Jaguars in 2010, has three career sacks.

Muir has been around, having played six NFL seasons with the Packers, Colts, Jets and Chiefs.
