The Kansas City Chiefs were awarded cornerback Brandon Jones off waivers from the San Diego Chargers.

Jones was cut when the Chargers signed former Chiefs Pro Bowl cornerback Brandon Flowers.

Jones was signed by the Chargers in December.

He played collegiately at Rutgers.

He has previous stints with the New England Patriots, New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jones, 24, has never played in a regular-season game.
