Chiefs cut Tyler Palko, Pierre Walters get down to 53

The Kansas City Chiefs announced 13 roster cuts, getting down the NFL limit of 53 players.

The most noteworthy names to be released were quarterback Tyler Palko and linebacker Pierre Walters.

The Chiefs also cut offensive guard Colin Brown, defensive tackle Garrett Brown, defensive lineman Dion Gales, tackle Bobby Greenwood, guard  Darryl Harris, linebacker David Herron, defensive tackle Derek Lokey, safety DaJuan Morgan, safety Ricky Price, wide receiver Verran Tucker and running back Javarris Williams. '

In addition, the club placed defensive back Maurice Leggett, who suffered a scary concussion and neck injury this preseason, and wide receiver Jerheme Urban on the reserve/injured list.
