The Kansas City Chiefs have waived former St. Louis Rams wide receiver Mardy Gilyard.
Gilyard is a former All-American at the University of Cincinnati who hasn't produced similar success at the NFL level.
For his career, he has eight receptions, 78 yards, two punt returns for 15 yards and 16 kickoff returns for 356 yards.
Gilyard was drafted in the fourth round by the Rams in 2010, but was cut one year later.
He has played for the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles and was signed by Kansas City in February.
