John Dorsey is building his front office in Kansas City and in doing so he tapped into the Chicago Bears for help.

The Chiefs have hired Chris Ballard, who served this past season as the director of pro scouting for the Bears, to oversee their pro and college scouting departments. Before serving as the head of the pro department in Chicago this past year, Ballard was a college scout covering the southwest for 11 years.

The Bears have two potential internal candidates to replace Ballard. Dwayne Joseph and Kevin Turks both served as an assistant director of pro scouting last year.
