The Kansas City Chiefs have settled on former Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Brian Daboll as their new offensive coordinator, according to NFL.com.

Daboll beat out current Chiefs quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn and former Chiefs offensive coordinator Al Saunders for the role, which will now lead to speculation regarding Zorn's future.

There had been earlier reports that Zorn would leave the Chiefs if he did not get the offensive coordinator's position. The Chiefs are already looking for an offensive line coach as Bill Muir, who had doubles as o-line coach and offensive coordinator, retired this week.
