Former Hawkeyes' player allegedly punched while walking down the street. Terry McCormick
Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Robert Bruggeman was allegedly shoved and punched while walking down the street early Sunday morning, according to the Des Moines Register.
Bruggeman was apparently walking down Court Avenue in Des Moine around 1:50 a.m. early Sunday near a man named Erwin Arturo Castro-Cortez, when officers apparently saw Bruggeman get shoved from behind. When he turned around, Castro-Cortez allegedly punched him in the face, cutting his lip.
Another man,Juan Manuel Sarceno-Barrera, approached officers at the scene and refused to leave when told to step back. Both Castro-Cortez and Sarceno-Barrera were arrested in the matter.
