KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs have hired former Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis as offensive coordinator.
Weis, who was offensive coordinator for New England's Super Bowl teams, will be reunited with Chiefs head coach Todd Haley. The two are longtime friends going back to the time when they shared an office as assistant coaches for the New York Jets.
The Chiefs were 4-12 this year, Haley's first as a head coach, but improved over the second half of the season. Haley had served as both head coach and offensive coordinator.
