The Kansas City Chiefs have announced Friday that general manager Scott Pioli will not return.

The team fired Coach Romeo Crennel on Monday, but said a decision on Pioli would not be made at the present time.

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt then pursued and is on the verge of landing former Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid, who reportedly wants his own general manager - most likely Tom Heckert or John Dorsey.
