Many new details are coming out about the tragic murder-suicide that took the lives of Kasandra Perkins and Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher on Saturday morning.

According to the Kansas City Star, the club had sought counseling for the couple, as they were having relationship and financial issues.

Also, the report said the couple had argued around 1 a.m. the morning of the murder-suicide over Perkins attending a Trey Songz concert and staying out late. The report also said Belcher had been out "partying" earlier in the evening, and that police had found him asleep inside his car around 7 a.m., which was about an hour before the fateful event.

After shooting Perkins, Belcher then apparently kissed her on the forehead and apologized before driving away to Arrowhead Stadium.

There he talked with general manager Scott Pioli, Coach Romeo Crennel and linebackers coach Gary Gibbs before telling them "I got to go. I can't be here," and walking way and then pulling the trigger, ending his life.
