As the new collective bargaining agreement makes the signing of draft picks much easier to do, more and more teams are getting in on finishing contracts fro rookies much earlier.

The Kansas City Chiefs have now signed half of their 2012 draft class, agreeing to a four-year deal with second-round pick Jeff Allen, says Scout.com.

The former University of Illinois left tackle was the 44th overall pick in the draft and figures to be in the mix soon at either tackle or guard for the Chiefs.
