Veteran cornerback worked out for San Diego two weeks ago. Terry McCormick
The San Diego Chargers will sign veteran cornerback Chris Carr, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Carr is a well-traveled cornerback and kick returner, having played for Oakland, Tennessee and Baltimore. He was in training with Minnesota this summer before being released.
The Chargers have only three healthy cornerbacks on the roster. San Diego has yet to make a corresponding move to create a spot on the 53-man roster, but there is speculation that kicker Nate Kaeding could land on injured reserve due to an injured groin.
