Chris Johnson doesn't lack for confidence.
Ever since he ran for 2,006 yards in 2009 and earned the nickname "CJ2K," Johnson has confidently talked about becoming the first running back to accomplish the feat twice. Now, the Tennessee Titans have beefed up their offensive line with the additions of Chance Warmack in the draft and Andy Levitre in free agency.
So Johnson was asked about going for a ton of yards once more - this time by Jim Rome.
“I know I have another 2,000 yard season in me. I would love to get 2,000 yards again, but I haven’t been to the playoffs since my rookie year, I want to get back there,” Johnson said.
Of course, Johnson was less excited about the Titans adding Shonn Greene to the backfield and reiterated that point with Rome.
I didn’t like the move, I didn’t think it was a smart move,” said Johnson of his firsl impression. “[But] that’s because of being too quick to say things and not really knowing the whole objectives of things. Once the off-season started, being here, being in the playbook and seeing the type of things they’re trying to do, I don’t think it was really a bad choice. I’m not worried about him taking any carries."
