Chris Johnson discusses his cheetah race

Chris Johnson spoke about his cheetah race on Friday in his first training camp media session.

While CJ and Devin Hester were never in harm's way while racing the fast cat, it is a good thing those putting the race together at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Fla, for National Geographic's "Big Cat Week" tested things out before the NFL stars arrived.

"The crazy thing is when they first set it up and they did a test run before we got there, the cheetah actually jumped over the barrier, and they had to go back and make it higher,” Johnson said via TitanInsider.

The notion of racing against a wild animal, though, was csometing CJ2K welcomed when the idea was presented to him.

“I didn’t think it was crazy. I thought it was something fun to do to have a human go up against an animal,” Johnson said. “It was something that my people came to me with and asked me would I want to do it. It was the off-season and there was nothing going on.”

That said, it's probably not a training regimen that Mike Munchak will incorporate into the Titans' off-season work next year.
