Christian Ponder says he's not seeking trade
One week after Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder said he's not opposed to a trade since he's third on the depth chart, he's changing his stance.
Ponder is expdcted to remain with the team, at least for now.
Ponder has been getting booed, too.
“I’m not asking for a trade,” Ponder said. “I’m learning so much right now. I do feel like it’s beneficial for me to be right here right now. As a competitor, though, you want to be the guy that’s out there playing. But I do feel like in the situation I’m in right now, I am getting better though I’m not playing.”
The San Francisco 49ers, considering how badly Blaine Gabbert has played, make sense as a potential trading partner.
