Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder doesn't have to worry about his starting job, at least for the time being.
Though he turned the ball over four times against the Lions this past Sunday, Minnesota coach Leslie Frazier told reporters that he's not considering replacing Ponder with anyone else.
“He had his mistakes," Frazier said, via the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "But the fact is the quarterback position is much more magnified. He just happens to play the position with the most scrutiny. We had other guys, trust me, that when we watched the tape, the scrutiny that needed to be had in those moments, they are well aware that they have to play better"
Frazier isn't going to blast his quarterback after one poor showing this early in the 2013 season. But Ponder should be on notice. If these kind of performances continue, then Frazier may be forced to make a change.
