The Cleveland Browns cut tight end Steve Heiden, a transaction executed after signing tight end Ben Watson to a free agent deal.

Heiden was limited to 10 receptions for 73 yards and one touchdown last season, ending the year on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Heiden tore his anterior cruciate ligament two seasons ago.

For his career, Heiden has registered 201 receptions for 1,689 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Also, linebacker Jason Trusnik has signed his second-round restricted tender.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that the team won't be signing free agent running back Justin Fargas.

Fargas visited the Philadelphia Eagles, but they also have no plans to sign him.
