San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick took one week off.
That’s it.
He’s been back to the grind ever since losing in Super Bowl XLVII now two weeks ago. Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports Kaepernick is putting in full days training at Competitive Edge Sports in Atlanta with a handful of NFL veterans and approximately 50 draft prospects.
He’s turned down prime-time television appearances and marketing endorsements and is instead focused on improving himself for 2013 and what will be his first full season as the starter. He trained in Reno, Nev., where he went to college last year but might be a little too recognizable to pull that off this offseason.
"He didn't stay in Reno or the West Coast because he'd never get anything done," his father Rick told Barrows.
This falls in line with all the stories you hear about Kaepernick. Surely, he will find some down time before the 49ers reconvene for their offseason program.
