Top overall pick finally signs deal that had been 'close.' Terry McCormick
First overall pick Andrew Luck is now signed, sealed and delivered for the Indianapolis Colts.
Luck, according to an report by ESPN, agreed to a $22.1 million package over four years. Meanwhile, the Indianapolis Star reported that Luck's signing bonus is for around $14.5 million.
Luck's contract is expected to be similar to the one Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton signed last year as the No. 1 overall pick.
The deal comes one day after the Washington Redskins agreed to a deal with No. 2 overall pick Robert Griffin III.
Luck's signing means he will be in camp on time and ready to hit the ground running in learning and operating the Colts system during training camp.
