Indy using first priority in waiver line to its advantage. Terry McCormick
The Indianapolis Colts, by virtue of being the league's worst team last year, are using their spot at the front of the line to sift through Friday's cuts to their advantage.
The Colts claimed three players off waivers on Saturday, including former New England Patriots safety Sergio Brown. Indy also claimed offensive tackle Mike Person, who was let go by the 49ers and nose tackle Martin Tevaseu, who was waived by the Jets.
To make room on the roster, the Colts dropped safety Jermale Hines, cornerback D.J. Johnson and tackle Ty Nsekhe.
