And the Colts waived-injured linebackers Justin Hickman and Quinton Spears. If Hickman and Spears clear waivers, they will revert to injured reserve.

He spent the 2011 season on the San Francisco 49ers practice squad after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State. Simmons was then signed as a free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles on March 5, 2012 and was waived on Aug. 30, 2012.
Hickman was originally signed by the Colts as a free agent on Feb. 9, 2012. Last season, he appeared in 12 games and totaled 14 tackles (six solo) and three special teams stops.
Spears was originally signed by the Colts to a reserve-future contract on December 31, 2012 after spending the previous two seasons with the Cleveland Browns. In 2011, Spears played in 13 games and ranked fourth on the team with eight special teams tackles.
