The Indianapoilis Colts have placed third-round rookie cornerback Kevin Thomas on injured reserve, getting down to the roster limit of 75 players.
Thomas had surgery after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament during a rookie minicamp.
Earlier this summer, the Colts signed Thomas to a four-year contract with a total value of roughly $2.46 million.
Drafted 94th overall out of USC, Thomas started one season and registered 89 career tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and three interceptions for the Trojans.
As a senior, he was a second-team All-Pac 10 selection as he recorded 57 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles and 11 pass deflections.
