The Indianapolis Colts have placed gritty veteran linebacker Pat Angerer on injured reserve, ending his season.
The Colts signed former Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens running back Shaun Draughn.
Angerer was shut down due to a right knee issue, most likely cartilage.
Angerer is a hard-nosed former Iowa standout drafted in the second round of the 2010 NFL draft.
Angerer is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after this season.
Angerer recorded 87 tackles in 11 starts this season.
