NDIANAPOLIS (AP) Indy is still perfect. Barely.
APPeyton Manning
Colts running back Joseph Addai scored the go-ahead touchdown with 7:11 left Sunday, and Houston's Kris Brown missed a 42-yard field goal as time expired, keeping Indianapolis undefeated and its winning streak intact with a 20-17 victory.
Indy is the fourth team in league history with 17 straight wins. New England has done it twice and Chicago did it in 1933-34. Jim Caldwell became the first rookie coach to go 8-0 since Potsy Clark in 1930.
The Colts now have a commanding 3 1/2-game lead over Houston (5-4) in the AFC South, too.
Indy blew a 13-0 first-half lead and trailed 17-13 when Steve Slaton opened the fourth quarter with a 1-yard TD run, but Addai answered with a 2-yard TD run to rally the Colts.
Peyton Manning also became the first quarterback in league history to throw for 40,000 yards within a decade.
Don't worry, Yeah. BB and TB will take them down a peg next Sunday night; they have an unbeaten regular-season record to defend, and defend it they will against a depleted Colts defense. Can they do the same again, two weeks later? That one could go either way, and both should be terrific games.

As long as Peyton Manning is on their team, they will always be damn near unbeatable. It's a coup for THEM, but it sucks for the Titans, Jags and Texans. I don't like Peyton - but it's only because HIS team has dominated MINE (Titans) for ten damn years. I'm ready for him to go away. Far, far away. FAR away. Like... FAR. Extremely far. Really.
