The Indianapolis Colts waived center Thomas Austin, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Austin began the season on the Colts' practice squad but was elevated to the 53-man roster recently. He played in his first career NFL game last week against the Chiefs.

In his career, Austin has played in eight career games, including one start.

Austin played college football at Clemson and was not selected in the 2010 NFL draft.
