The Indianapolis Colts won one Sunday for Coach Chuck Pagano, who is in an Indianapolis hospital being treated for leukemia.
Colts owner Jim Irsay gave a passionate and emotional speech following the comeback win, 30-27, over Green Bay, a game where Indy trailed 21-3 at halftime. After the speech, Irsay took the game ball and drove to the hospital to present it to Pagano.
"Just a special thing to do today, especially for Chuck and this team," Colts defensive end Cory Redding said via NFL.com. "It was exciting. Guys in here high-fiving, hugging, tears. Because it was emotional. Our owner stepped in there and said some powerful words. Couldn't be more happier for him to get that ball, pick it up as fast as he can and go down the street and give it to Chuck in his room."
