INDIANAPOLIS—The sky is gray, the sidewalks are covered in snow and the coffee shops are booming with hoards of caffeine junkies trying to catch a mid-afternoon buzz.
But the inside of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis is a much different story (with the exception of the caffeine junkies). The 2011 NFL scouting combine is well underway as the skill position players are set to meet the media Friday in Indiana.
With that in mind, The National Football Post has partnered up with the good folks at Comcast for this year’s combine in an effort to deliver you—the die-hard reader—the best insight and analysis available on the Internet. Over the next few days, we’ll be rolling out a treasure trove of videos breaking down everything from the workouts to the CBA talks in an effort to keep you guys in the loop on the minute-to-minute happenings here in Indianapolis.
The Appetizer: Joe Fortenbaugh and Matt Bowen discuss the rigors of the combine from a player’s perspective. In addition, Bowen offers up some of his top prospects to watch, while Fortenbaugh continues to inadequately rock “the Tom Brady.”
The Meat & Potatoes: Wes Bunting educates Fortenbaugh on some of the top prospects at this year’s combine, gives you his 2011 “Sleeper” candidate and plays the role of Carolina Panthers’ general manager.
The Cheesecake: Tom Curran of CSN New England talks with Matt Bowen about Rex Ryan’s Super Bowl guarantee and the potential pressure that it could put on the Jets’ players.
