It's been noted how the New England Patriots don't have much depth behind Rob Gronkowski at tight end.

Therefore, it could make sense to use one of their receivers as their move tight end, which is what now-disgraced former Patriots member Aaron Hernandez used to play. Enter Brandon LaFell, the former Panthers receiver that has apparently been getting reps at the position.

According to a report from The Boston Globe's Ben Volin, LaFell has lined up at multiple positions, including the one Hernandez played.

"LaFell was also a “want-to” blocker in Carolina, meaning he doesn’t mind getting physical in the run game. Patriots fans, meet your new Swiss Army Knife," Volin wrote.

This could be a trial situation for now, so more will need to be seen from this in training camp. If so, LaFell could stand to benefit more than anyone on this roster in terms of seeing targets.
