Free-agent addition recovering from hip surgery Brad Biggs
The good news is Mackenzy Bernadeau should be ready to go by the start of training camp.
The bad news is it wasn’t a minor injury he suffered. The guard for the Dallas Cowboys is expected to be on the mend for up to 12 weeks following surgery to repair a tear in his hip. David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports that timetable would bring him back around the time the club reports to Oxnard, Calif., for the beginning of training camp.
The Cowboys signed Bernadeau in free agency, giving him an $11 million, four-year deal. Now, he’ll be working from behind to nail down a starting job.
