The Dallas Cowboys have hired Scott Linehan as passing game coordinator, according to reports.

He took part in staff meetings Monday, according to the team website.

Linehan is slated to call the plays.

Offensive coordinator Bill Callahan remains under contract and is expected to remain in place despite not being the play-caller anymore.

Linehan was the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator from 2009 until last season.
